Joining a variety of food affiliate programs can make a huge difference in your earning potential.
When I first learned about affiliate marketing, it sounded like a win/win/win way to monetize my blog. But I wasn’t sure where to start. So like most newbies, I jumped on the Amazon affiliate program bandwagon. Using their widget maker, I created a little store full of hand-picked products and added it to a page on my site.
I remember logging into my earnings dashboard almost daily to see if I had generated commission. Not surprisingly, I hadn’t.
Eventually I started joining other programs and became more strategic about how I promoted products. With one of my sites, I earned 5 figures in 4 months promoting 3 different affiliate products. If I had still been promoting only Amazon products at that point, I would have missed out on a ton of income.
Program diversification is the key to prospering – here’s why:
- A merchant could shut down their program at any time
- A law could force merchants to remove affiliates living in certain locations
- A merchant could lower or change their commission structure

Great list, I was looking for something like this and I am glad I found this.
Hey Andy – really glad you like the list. Best of luck with your affiliate applications!
We have a website that sells knives of all kinds. We have kitchen knives, including cutlery (Ginsu too) and we feature knives used for fishing, (fillet and bait, etc) hunting, camping, even pocket knives and scissors, shears, and sharpeners. We have 2 blogs and will be regularly writing about how good knives will enhance the kitchen and cooking experiences. We will also be writing regularly about fishing and how good fillet knives are important so the ‘catcher’ can prepare the fish for the ‘cooker’. My thought is – that we could affiliate with businesses that sell cooking recipes (to go with kitchen work and outdoor cooking to go with camping and fishing)
Do you have any sites that would be a good fit for our blogs?
Hey Raymond! There are definitely a lot of food bloggers with recipe books and products who have affiliate programs. Pinch of Yum and Minimalist Baker are both great places to start from this list, but you can find more by googling “recipe book affiliate program”. I would also suggest Amazon since you can link to books and other recipe related tools on the site. The commissions aren’t as high, but lots of people shop on Amazon so it’s a great place for new affiliates to start. All the best with your affiliate endeavours!
Have you found any affiliate programs that actually sell knives? Or do you offer one Raymond? I have a website that could benefit from that. Please email me at NOLAFoodDelivery@gmail.com
Hopefully you’ll hear back from Raymond but if you don’t, keep in mind many sites that offer general cooking and kitchen products will have knives you can promote.
Thank you very very much. This article is very helpful, to have all affiliate programs at one place. Nice work!
Hey Liv, thanks for stopping by. I’m so glad you like this article 🙂 Best of luck with your affiliate adventures 🙂
Justine! This was awesome..I’ve been trying to think outside the box as far as what companies to put on my blog. I came up with a few of the ones you listed, was researching them, and then happened across your blog. EUREKA!! Thanks so much! 🙂
You are very welcome Jennifer – so glad you found the post and best of luck with your new affiliate applications 🙂
Awesome info! Thanks for all the help:)
You are very welcome Paige!
Hello Justine,
Really great post to help readers with valuable content.
You’re right that affiliate marketing is really amazing program to join it and make money with it.
I’m using amazon affiliate links in my blog post and make around $1000 monthly.
Thanks for your kind words Jaswinder. Congrats on your success with affiliate marketing 😀
Thanks for all the help:)
You got it!
Hi Justine, I am interested in the affiliate program for Vitamix, but when I click on the name, I get the message:
“this page is not available.” I don’t want to do it via Amazon because I have problem signing in as an affiliate.
Looks like they changed their link! I just updated the post so if you try again, it’ll work. You can also use Google to find additional Vitamix affiliate resources. Best of luck!
Hi Justine,
Awesome read – do you have a list on Health and Organic Food Affiliate Programs in UK? Seems like majority you’ve listed are US?
Thanks
Hi Justine,
I want to start my own affiliate site promoting organic and healthy food. Would you advise to be more product or offers/discount focused? Also, what would be the best tactic to get traffic to my site once launched?
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
Hey Kunal,
While I can’t decide for you, take a look at some of the prediction data for 2018 (for example this article and this one) because it indicates that discount/offer sites are trending down in terms of reach and results. Also, it’s an extremely tough space to compete in. In terms of traffic, it depends on how you like to spend your time. I mainly use SEO but others may focus more on social media or getting featured on other people’s sites. There’s no best tactic – it’s what works best for you from both a personality and niche perspective.
I hope it all works out for you.
xoxo, Justine
Hey Kunal – I’m working on expanding the list to include more international programs. In the meantime, consider joining affiliate networks with more of an international audience (or search settings so you can filter by UK only) such as CJ, Awin and LinkShare.
Thank you SOOOO MUCHO or this list. As a nutritionist that can only prompt and blog about what I believe in, I’m excited to know heather options on getting on board with this. Also, we are considering relocation to Mexico for awhile. Do you know if Amazon in Mexico, or any other companies based in Mexico offer programs? If you or any of your readers know, I would love more into. Muchas Gracias!!!
Hey Jessica – so glad you like the list! I don’t know about Mexico-based programs specifically, however usually most US companies are happy to still work with you even if you live somewhere else. It’s really about your audience – if they are US-based then it’s usually a non-issue, especially if you are also a US-based citizen who just happens to be living abroad.
Excellent research Justine.
Thank you so much – best of luck with your affiliate endeavours 🙂
Thank you, Justine! With Amazon, can you tell me whether you ever made any money over $100, for instance? And, I am a little confused with Amazon – if you do not hand-pick items, can they not pick them for you — i.e., arrive at a list from which you can pick/choose?
Can you give a hint as to the 3 diff programs where you made 5 figures in 3 mos? Thank you!
k
Hey Karen,
I’m not a big Amazon affiliate. I make small commissions here and there but it’s not something I focus on because of my niche. You can hand-pick items on Amazon to share or you can use a widget they offer to show products in a category. Check out the help section for the affiliate program as there are loads of articles to walk you through everything.
The programs I referred to in the article are no longer available or accepting affiliates (this was many years ago) but similar programs exist today that you can definitely find and join. The first was a course affiliate program with a high commission payout. The second was an information product offering 50% commission (I think it cost around $200 so $100 was the commission per sale). The third was a software affiliate program with a recurring commission monthly. As I expand these lists, I’ll do my best to include more high-paying affiliate programs in each niche. For Food, try digital product programs like Minimalist Baker and Pinch of Yum / Food Blogger Pro. Or recurring revenue programs like the delivery services.
Hope that helps – best of luck!
I have read so many articles on the topic of the blogger lovers but this piece of writing is really a fastidious article, keep it up.
Thank you 🙂
Just came across this post and I appreciate the candid advice! Another digital product affiliate program that should work well for food is Bookmark OS. It is a bookmark manager so you can get paid when users bookmark your content https://bookmarkos.com/affiliates
Thanks Cathy! Bookmark OS looks awesome, thanks for sharing your experience with it 🙂 I’ll add it in a future update.
Hey Justine, I am new to affiliate marketing and my niche was to help people eat healthier and to probably add work out programs to my site. I am trying to find a good program for recipes and for sending food that is healthy for your type of body to your home or the nearest grocery store by your home. Do you know what program to chose from that will send food and have healthy recipes? And also with the work out programs perhaps?
Hi Kiara,
You can check out all the programs under “delivery service” and see what would be the best fit for your brand. If none of those work, do some research to find healthy meal delivery services and see if they offer a program. If not, simply ask them if they’d be open to an affiliate arrangement with you. Many companies do this informally, even without an official program set up. Same goes with work out programs. I will have a future post about fitness programs, but in the meantime there are loads in that category you can search for in ShareASale.
Best of luck!
Justine
Hi Justine,
worthy content, I can see some of them are offering a great commission. Thanks for sharing
P.S: some of the them have stopped affiliate program and some have 404 error.
Hey Jay – thanks for stopping by. Yes there are some very generous programs out there! I appreciate you letting me know about the programs that are no longer available. The post is updated a few times a year so the list is now expanded and all the links are working 🙂
amazing programs to join and make money with.
Thanks! I think so too 🙂
Justine, this is a fantastic gathering of Food affiliate programs. Thank you so much for putting this together!
Me and my wife have been buying grassfed beef from a local farmer in california for a long time to feed our four kids as healthy as possible. For the last year we’ve also helped the farmer and some other farmer offering their products online direct to consumers.
Two weeks ago we did a big investment to start selling nationally, and as part of this we set up an affiliate program. I was hoping that you perhaps could add it to your list? It’s on ShareASale.
Here’s a link: https://www.farmfoodsmarket.com/pages/farmfoods-affiliate-program
Thanks Justine, and keep up the great work!
Yours,
Johan
Hey Johan – thanks for letting me know about your company and affiliate program. I added it to the list! Best of luck with your business 🙂
I’m new to this whole affiliate marketing and really need you to mentor me. Thanks a great deal
This article is great for an aspiring content creator like me. Not much knowledge on online promotion and traffic generation, much less online income potentials, and this is quite an eye-opener. Thank you for the links. Will get to working.
You are welcome Enrique – good luck!
Hey Justine, I am new to blogger and affiliate marketing and my niche is to help people with wellness and healthy lifestyle topic. I am still looking for good affiliate marketing and this is Awesome post!
Thank you for compiling this list! I will definately be referencing this!
Hi Justine, Is there a program that allows you to use / get paid for the use of their recipes?
Not that I know of Karen, but ya never know. But if you are promoting food companies who have blogs with recipes, you likely could get their permission to repost or excerpt their recipes on your blog with affiliate links back to their site.
Okay, now this is like the best article I have come across today. You did a great job by sharing this informative and accurate post. Thanks for sharing this knowledge with us.
Thank you for creating this list! It is a wonderful resource.
This one is such an informative post. I have learned a lot today.I hope to read more articles from you..
Great article! There are a couple networks here that I need to check out.
Wonderful collection of list, we can join and do the program well,
Hello Justine,
